It was an important milestone to open and own an art gallery in the heart of Kathmandu.

Gaunle Deurali is a populat newsletter of Tansen, Palpa in Nepal- I was featured in this newsletter in 2007

Palpa is located west of Kathmandu. I visited Palpa with Ms. Suzuki Masako. Later I organized an art workshop in this remote area school.
I remember leaving Kathmandu at 9 am and reaching there at 9 pm.

It is one of the places where the local farmers are doing very well with Olericulture!

One of the things I enjoyed while in Japan was visiting schools.
Whenever I got an invitation I always accepted visiting classrooms. Talking to these kids about my country and our students so they'd remember a visitor from Nepal.

Sleepy Japanese- Short article for Asahi Evening Newspaper by Astha Tuladhar

One common thing I heard is being sleepy. Overwork and no play! Exhausted!
The young people are sleepy and old people are suffering from insomnia!!! This was my observation. I wrote this article and it raised a few eyebrows.
It was enough to make other people chuckle!
Asahi Newspaper was an important platform for some of my first impressions about Japan!

Meijo University Years were challenging, especially when there were 154 students in class and I was the only international student!!!

I am so very happy to gain support of all my classmates, friends,teachers and staff at Meijo University.

A new way of making a payment with cash- Asahi Newspaper

The idea of getting less or no change coins when you make a payment in cash seemed of little significance at first but when a jars of coins lay around your house, its time to take action.
This was an observatory article about what Japanese Shoppers did.

I had seen a group of Japanese Sumo eating at Mc. Donald's. They seemed to like the hamburgers!
The sight was so intriguing that I decided to write this short article. I never thought I'd find so many things to write about later. I wrote for Asahi Evening Newspaper for a while.

Language learning is a major tool to delve deep into a different culture. Using children's story book as a starting point, I explored the many possibilities of being multi-lingual! I appreciate the warm welcome I received by my teachers and the staff at Meijo University, my Alma mater!

Cats in Nepal- An article in Japanese for the Cat Journal

Yes, if you are wondering, there are huge cat fans in Japan. I was asked to write about cultural views about cats in Nepali Society. It was very interesting what I found after a little research!
The name of this Journal in Japanese is "Cat Newspaper."
By the way cat is called " Biralo " in Nepali and "Neko" in Japanese.

Tsujimoto Etsuko, my classmate wrote an article relating to our meeting

I found some of the best friends in Japan. Tsujimoto Etsuko and I discussed a lot about culture and opinions because of our interest in each other. She shocked me when she said she wrote an article about me and our dicussions and debates about the world!

I lived in a Tenrikyo Church for 3 years of my life during my student years at Meijo University of Nagoya Japan.
Living inside a church shelter dorm, gave me valuable experience of living by faith.
Tenrikyo is a religion that originated in Tenri City.

Asahi Newspaper of Japan featured me when I self-published a small booklet with 7 Japanese Children's Rhymes. I wanted the children to realize that they live in a bigger world full of diversity yet unity, peace and love.
