It was an important milestone to open and own an art gallery in the heart of Kathmandu.
I write about my daily encounters, experiences and thoughts here to share with you all.

Gaunle Deurali is a populat newsletter of Tansen, Palpa in Nepal- I was featured in this newsletter in 2007

Palpa is located west of Kathmandu. I visited Palpa with Ms. Suzuki Masako. Later I organized an art workshop in this remote area school.
I remember leaving Kathmandu at 9 am and reaching there at 9 pm.
It is one of the places where the local farmers are doing very well with Olericulture!
Art workshop at remote villages in Palpa, Nepal and exhibition at Holi Art Gallery

I organized a team of art students to visit a remote village named Ringniraha in Palpa, Nepal. The schools there did not have an arts & crafts class.
All the students were thrilled to play with color crayons. The topic for the day was - My Village.
The children were free to draw, sketch.
After the 2 day program we collected their paintings and brought them to exhibit at Holi Art Gallery.
The program was inaugurated by Unicef Artist Sarad Ranjit & Japanese Embassy Secretary Mr. Sasai.
Art teachers are still in big demand in Nepal.

Nepal Children's Organization's Magazine Cover Illustration by Astha Tuladhar

I was thrilled when I was called to be the illustrator for this children's magazine. During my life in Japan, I was impressed by the manga & comic's popularity.
A picture can express what a thousand words cannot. I loved doing this project for Bal Mandir.
