Effective Use of Puns in Japanese Language- Short Article in Asahi Evening Newspaper- Astha Tuladhar

Japanese is a language that has three written scripts namely; Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji.
However when it comes to being vocal, there are only 5 vowels. As a result there are so many words that have the same pronunciation but a different meaning. These same sounding words are used to spice up everyday spoken language. I found it very interesting in my later years in Japan.
